Ellen graduated from high school!
This is her class at Baccalaureate a week before they walked across the stage in their caps and gowns. Clay and I both cried when the slide show of Ellen’s baby photos were shown. We were a bit of a mess.
This is one of Ellen’s sweet friends. She cried too and then I felt better about being an emotional basket case. After the ceremony the parents of the graduates hosted an open house for all the graduates.
My friend set up this back drop for all the kids to take photos. Clay and Ellen grabbed a little chalk board to write on before I took their photo. Clay wouldn’t tell Ellen what he had put on his chalkboard and wouldn’t let her look at it until they were done with the photos. He’s such a thoughtful father.
Then it was time for the brothers to get in the photo. This is the best one I have of them.
It was a fun day. A lot of friends came by to eat and talk and congratulate the kids. When the day was done we cleaned up and focused on the next event.
Oh, and then I flew home.
