Message found under the pile of wet laundry…

I’m still helping my parents move, find a new house and unpack a business.  My dad has driven a Penske truck back and forth across the state of Kansas at least five times in the last week.  I still don’t know why they didn’t hire professional movers, I may never know.  I’m certain they are going to collapse in a heap of exhaustion before we get done.  My mom was signing a lease for a little house they are going to rent and I told her, “Mom, you better put my phone number on there  just in case you and dad keel over dead while unpacking boxes.”  And she just said, “Oh…yes, you’re right.”  The landlord looked at me with shock.  I chuckled a bit and said,”I meant it as a joke, but she’s so tired that it’s a possibility.”

My dryer broke and I won’t have time to call someone to fix it for another week.  I’m sure you can imagine what it’s like to dry clothes for six people in a small house.  Good times, good times.

Clay and I are leaving right now to go Christmas shopping for our kids.  Yes, we’re just a wee bit behind on the whole holiday thing this year and I’m hoping we can do it all with $4.99.  Hahahahahahahaha!

I can’t even think about shipping gifts to my extended family.  I love you all, Merry Christmas….I’ll send you something for Easter if I can find my way out from under this pile of wet laundry.

Merry Christmas Blogland.  My favorite part of this season is going to the candle light service at church on Christmas eve, it’s so beautiful and peaceful.

Peace be with you all this Christmas.
