Facebook

I’ve been using Facebook for about a year now and there are parts of it I enjoy and parts of it that are just ridiculous.

Here’s what I love:

I get to peek in the lives of old friends that I would otherwise only get a Christmas card from and maybe on a rare occasion talk to them on the phone or email them.

I like chatting with my nephews and my kids’ friends and I love it when they leave comments on my status.

I love, love, love, love when kids post pictures of their family and talk to their parents online.  It warms my heart to know that they are still connected to their kin offline and online.

Here’s what I don’t like:

All the rest.

The games…oh dear lord the games

The surveys, although a few have hooked me like the one about how tall I would be when I grow up.  5’9″….I wish.

And the one kid that keeps unfriending me and then asking me to refriend them a few months later.  What?  I blocked that kid, cuz…sorry I’m not playing that game Sweety.  I’ll be friends with you again when you’re an adult, and it looks like that’s going to be a while.  Goodness.

I saw this video linked last night and it just cracked me up, so I had to share it with you.  It’s just SO TRUE!!

And…wouldn’t it be fabulous if I could get that video to embed on my gall darn blog?

Here’s the link my friend..
