Once he decided to shave off his Cosmo Kramer-Carrot Top hair….uh, he looked pretty sizzlin’. I’m just sayin’. This photo was taken in 1998 at a church picnic. I had this photo in a frame for years until one of my little boys broke it and scratched the picture.
Next up, the sibling photos. I know you can hardly wait!!!

I have to agree…. he does look Yummy with short hair
I love seeing the old pictures! It has been something I’ve looked forward to reading every few days.
It shows history, and ya know, we’ve all got history. Isn’t it fun to share?
He does look good. My college age daughter found an old pic of a guy in my dresser and wanted to know who the “hot” guy was with pecs and tight jeans and great hair. Had to explain it was her bald father. I am not sure she quite believed me.
MEEEE-OW!
I liked the long hair better…what can I say?
I like the scratch – gives the photo an old-timey feel.
Yes, the haircut does wonders. He doesn’t need the extra height. He’s tall enough. :>) Great photo!
I love old pictures so you won’t run me off. I like the short do.
Really lookin’ good
The hair is MUCH better here!
Do all these strolls down Memory Lane have anything to do with turning 40?
Oh, I’ve enjoyed seeing the old photos. Good for you for seeing what was under (literally) all that hair. Clay is a hottie. Lest you think I stalk this blog because of your hottie husband, I think part of what makes Clay so awesome is his obvious love of you and his family. That’s one of my favorite things about reading this blog, what a great couple you guys make, and what a wonderful family you have made together. I always smile and often giggle when I visit here. Hang onto those old memories and continue to make sweet new ones.
Clay is very handsome with the shorter hair. Keep the pictures coming.
Those scratches are a super easy photoshop fix! Email me the full-resolution file if you’d like me to touch it up for you!
I love all your old photos and stories and I agree he looks pretty hot with the hair cut. Lucky you!
If I knew how to spell a wolf whistle, I would be doing that right now. But I don’t, so just pretend I do.
Wow…hubba hubba! Very intense! I’m enjoying the pics, April…keep them coming!
I agree – a very, VERY nice photo of Clay! No wonder you had it in a frame for so long.
The old photos are letting us “peek” into your past. I don’t mind them at all.
That is a great photo! I was going to suggest the same thing as Meg…except that you do it yourself. (Hey, I’m willing to help, I’m just realistic. I would never get around to getting it done.)
Are you sure that’s the same guy you married???
YOWZA! Clay looks good!!
I mean… what fun looking at old pictures. LOL
Okay in all honesty, you two make a stunning couple, no wonder you have such gorgeous kids!
Answer to your question…one more….seriously
you two are so darned cute!
April – you are going to need to tell the fukus story.
Already did….http://coalcreekfarm.com/2008/05/focus/

Yep, you have got to fix that picture and put it back in a frame. And keep those old photos coming, they are great fun!
I concur–smokin!
p.s. I love the old photos.
Wow. That hair change really did make his hot rating jump.
