Heath Bar Banana is my very favorite. Best Ted Drewes story: We had a German foreign exchange student with us quite a few years back. When his parents came to visit, we took them to dinner at O’Connell’s Pub and went to Ted Drewes for dessert. When our German friends saw the long lines and police officers directing traffic, they lunged for their cameras and asked, “Political demonstrations?” We replied, “No. Ice cream.” They were stunned.
I have to echo a few other commenters…is concrete another word for frozen custard?

Ted Drewes is my favorite. I’ve going there for, um, let’s just say a VERY long time, because I grew up in St. Louis. Whenever I go visit, I haul the whole extended family to Ted Drewes. Chocolate Chip for me…it’s the kind where they pour in some soft chocolate that immediately begins to harden and break into “chips”. It’s to die for! My husband orders something different every single time!
