Was it Amaghettis? Very famous deli on the hill. People around St. Louis know what you mean when you say an Amaghetti's sandwich. Also Vianano's italian grocery store on Shaw Avenue is a place we try to work in on every visit! We usually leave with a box full of sauces, unusual pasta, wine and cheese! Hope you had a great trip!

April, you did the right thing by returning to KS. Anyone who cannot LOVE gooey-butter cake, doesn't deserve to live in the awesomeness that is St. Louis. So there.

Nice rundown on the eats in St. Louis. Should I ever happen to travel there during daylight hours without the busload of teenage girls.
