Clay hasn’t stopped smiling since he met Ree. Dork.
My good friend Mrs Mama and I are road tripping it over to Kansas City on Monday night to the Girls Night Out event. I hope I get to see some of you there…of course I don’t know what all of you look like, so if you see me come say hello. I’ll be the six foot tall blond lady with her gut bulging over her pants, not hard to miss, so I’ve been told.
Mrs. Mama told me I have to look cute and I panicked just a bit because two days ago I was wearing a denim jacket with jeans. I was on denim overload. And yesterday I was wearing my 8 year old pants with a high waist to hold my gut in with a sweatshirt that has a hole in the sleeve. We might have a problem in the cute department, please send help and a liposuction machine…..thankyou.
I can’t wait to see Reedles again, I hope she remembers me, “Hi Reedles. Do you mind if I call you Reedles? It’s me April. I came to your house and asked your husband nine billion questions about cattle. We ate bacon together. I rode a horse….and uh, your husband, uh, he…uh, touched my butt. Yeah, so good to see you.”

I’d love to be there but alas I can’t stay overnight and no one to drive me home (3+ hours). Have a wonderful time!
Much as I love Ree, I won’t be there. I’m like a fish out of water on the Plaza. Plus I don’t drive. Oh, and after reading about how long people had to stand in line to see her in Arkansas, my knees already hurt.
I’ll just have to be there in spirit.
I would go, but I’d hate for it to look like I’m following her around like some kind of blog groupie since I already went to the one in Pawhuska. Plus, that Plaza area scares me. We drove around and around and around it trying to get out when Na had a gym meet nearby. You and Mrs. Mama have a great time, though. You absolutely do not look like you need liposuction or help in the cute department.
I would come just to stand in line with you two!!!!
You will have to make a crazy Ree sandwich.

This is SUCH a girls night out thing! My hubby stood in line for 3 hours, after driving 2 hours from TX to ge me a book (cause Ree wont come to da “D” in MI). Anyway, my husband had a great time – he really didn’t think he would- he was just scoring marriage points, but he said it was fun. Have a great time!!

Hey April have you ever heard of “NYDJ” jeans? Yeah it stands for Not Your Daughter’s Jeans and they are fee-nom-I-nail! They squish in your tummy and puff out your butt then they slim down your thighs and next thing you know you look just like Jennifer Anniston or Angelina Jolie or Penelope Cruise not like Pizza the Hut, not that you do, but well I kind of resemeble…
Anyway they are kind of expensive but if you catch them on sale…

I am one of Karen Flanagan’s friends who is going. We will be going today as a matter of fact to pick up our tickets/books early so we don’t have to wait in line on Monday night. My other friend, Jana has been on bed rest for several months because she had a blood clot in her leg. This is one of her first outings, clot free and she is excited! We will be hard to miss, there will be 3 rather fluffy women with a really thin woman yelling “April” and flailing her arms . . .ROFL!
