Patting his pigs goodbye the gentle farmer is he.
Shroud in Carharts, Bass Pro with his wee tater head of a boy, squinting Cint Eastwoodishly into the blog forsaken lens of his wife’s camera.
Pushing the mammoth beasts to their final destination, the good farmer refuses to use anything but his own strength to persuade the swine to move….well, eventually he had his wife hop in and help too.
Patiently pushing pigs.
Placing his order with the hobbit-esque butcher.
The End.
Oh, ho, ho……
I know what you want.
You want that one last scene to drag out the movie.
You want one more page so the book won’t end.
You want one more bite of cookie to finish off that milk.
You want……
this.

Have a great weekend flitting about.
Clay is just too funny! And sweet! Any man that duct tapes sneakers like my hubby gets my vote! Happy late birthday and thanks for entertaining us blog thirsty fans!
Hilarious!!
Fred Astaire meets Lorne Greene…perfect man, perfect pose. I haven’t seen MM strike a dance pose yet, so Clay gets my vote for sexiest blog husband!!!
It is the hat. Clay and MM good looking menfolks!!
Those are perfectly positioned hands! You guys are too funny. It almost looks like he is superimposed on the background.
Now thats a happy man that doesa public happy dance! We’ll call it the “The Pig Pusher!”
Well, Pioneer Woman may have her Marlborough Man but YOU’VE got The Pig Farmer. May we all be so lucky!
Only a very secure man could pose like this. Great job Clay.
Clay, you don’t have to worry your pretty little head. You are a manly man for sure. I was just thinking after seeing your picture the other day…..that guy is CUTE. Nice, handsome, funny, your wife is one lucky woman. And you’re pretty fortunate yourself to have such a wonderful wife. May God continue to bless both of you.
Too funny. Only a bloggers husband!
Great, now I’m going to be singing “Hello, Dolly” in my head all day.
Hilarious! And the “hobbit butcher” really cracked me up!
What a fun husband/dad! Go, Clay, Go!
Okay so I finally finished Lauging and crying and could actually type. That is the funniest thing I think I have ever seen.
LOL! You know what impressed me most about that pose, though? It makes Clay look less like a giant. Or maybe that’s the angle of the camera. Also, I felt a kinship with these hobbit-esque butchers whom I’ve never even met. Brought a tear to my eye, God bless ‘em. God bless all you tall people, too, for I know you have large hearts to go with your long, lithe limbs . Yes, God bless us, everyone.
Yours Truly,
Tiny Jen
Now I gotta skeedaddle! I got a book signin’ to go to!

He can load up the bacon,
Back it up in a van
And never, ever let you forget
He’s a man.
And you’re his Woman. W-O-M-A-N. I’ll say it again.
You can stretch a greenback dollar bill from here to kingdom come.
You can play the numbers, pay the bills and still end up with some.
I got a twenty dollar gold piece says there ain’t nothing you can’t do.
You can make a dress out of a feed bag and you can make a man out of Who?
‘Cause you’re his woman! W-O-M-A-N, I’ll say it again!
‘Cause I’m his woman! W-O-M-A-N . . . and that’s all.
ROFLMBO – Great post and pictures.
I can’t wait on the day I can blog like you!
I THOUGHT the final shot was going to be y’all eating bacon!
Since it wasn’t, I declare this story is still not over.
Looks like he is channeling his inner Fosse.
Ya’ll are my most favorite blog couples. Hilarious!!
That’s one damn fine pig farmer!!!!
The last picture is hilarious, but the first one still grabs my heart. What a guy.
He’s such a manly man! Too funny!
Well, Hello Dolly…
LOL! Too funny! Only a real man can make moves like that. Love it.
Are you getting ready for “Dancing with the Stars”?
You sure have my vote.
Fabulous!
what a great husband you have!!
It appears that You’ve got your soul-mate–your other half–the one who can dance and clown like you!
Hahaha! That last photo was worth waiting for dial-up internet to load photos!
That one should be framed and brought out at all family functions. It’s great that you guys have so much fun. The “boys dancing” video to Queen is still in my head.
How soon do you get to fill the freezer?
Life on the farm, too fun.
Thanks for making water spew out of my nose!!- That is classic
Thanks for the good laugh before I go off to work!
I laughed so hard my 6 year old had to investigate. I showed her the pic and asked her what he was doing. She was silent for a moment then said “I don’t know.”
Thanks for sharing! It’s a great picture. I don’t think his manliness is in question. The bigger question is where can I get me husband a hat like that
Blog forsaken! Ha!
Hilarious!!!
I love that first picture…you can almost see the words in a balloon over Clay’s head….”byebye piggy…see you at the breakfast table….” Kind of sad and satisfying at the same time -
The last picture…great! It’s official – Clay combines the manliness of John Wayne the pig wrestler with the grace of Fred Astaire. You know what that adds up to? Paul Newman! YES! CLAY REMINDS ME OF PAUL NEWMAN!
April, you lucky girl…
Happy late birthday, Clay-honestly, the photo is not that bad! But I am signing you up at the community theater for open auditions….for gosh sakes, April, buy the guy a new pair of shoes!!! Wow-those are some well-loved sneakers. Hope your birthday was great!
PS-not sure how I feel about the naming of the “hobbit butcher” since he probably has several inches on me….I guess I’ll warm up to the name of “hobbit music teacher” and see how I feel in a few days….
Ha Ha…LOVE IT!!!
Great post! What a good sport! April, this should hold us for awhile… just in case you have anything else you want to do
That photo says it all.
It needs to be your Christmas card photo.
HILARIOUS.
My, but Clay has some straight white teeth!
You know, if you stare at that last picture long enough, it starts to look like his head was superimposed onto his body…
Oh, and I’m laughing. Oh, the laughing.
I wasn’t staring at his hands or sole but at the end, his rear-end!!!! Ha ha ha. So funny. Now you mention that it was the end.
Tears of laughter is right…oh my gosh…I’m dying over here. That is so GREAT! I think it takes a REAL man to let you post that photo…his machismo is not threatened…you two are hilarious.
That’s a great picture!
Sweet post. I especially liked the ‘hobitt esq’ caption. All I could think of was Mike Myers comment on Carnies “small hands.”
