I had the most wonderful chance to sit and drink tea and converse with Marilyn on Sunday, while her precious lab, Cleo, licked my legs and feet and rested her head in my lap with her tennis ball pacifying her soft jowls. It’s wonderful to meet the blogging world face to face. I know I’ve talked about Marilyn many times here, but really, this woman is so talented- the cooking, the writing, the sketching. You must read The Baker’s Alpahbet, my favorite; “D’s are for Donuts when you don’t know what to bake.”
I don’t think I would ever have run into Marilyn if it were not for our blogs. Which seems absurd and sad to think two women that live so close would never connect without the wonder that is the Internet.
How fun it was to talk about writing and our readers. Yes, I talked about all of you! Because at the end of the day, this blog, this little thing that I’ve been pounding out for years is more about connecting with people than anything else. I sure wish I could have tea or coffee or beer or lemonade with each one of you, but for now, let’s drink to our cyber connections, CHEERS!
