It’s true, I’m a Jayhawk.
I’m certain my boys were breaking some sort of campus law by crawling all over that Jayhawk. Yes, that’s a book in Seth’s hand, I think he re-read The Series of Unfortunate Events for the third or fourth time this summer and I guess he felt he needed to cart it along with him on campus that day.
I thought these photos would be good to post today, because I’m getting a visit from one of my college girlfriends, Katie. I haven’t seen her for probably twelve or thirteen years. She lives in California, but grew up in Kansas and I get to be on her tour of family that she’s visiting. I’m so excited! Most people call her Kate because she’s all grown up and professional now, but when I met her she was still Katie and she’ll always be Katie to me.
Okay, I gotta clean up the house and make some food for Katie and her boys. I’m making them brunch so their going to get to eat Coal Creek farm eggs and sausage. I wonder if her boys will be scared of the chickens? Sometimes city kids get a little freaked out about all the birds running around here.
Rock Chalk Jayhawk GO KU!
