I like to start projects.

I just have a tiny problem finishing them.

In the last couple of weeks I’ve started several projects, none of them are done.

I found these two chairs next to the dumpster where I take Ike to be tutored.  I also found a big dog basket there a week later that needs a bit of spray paint and it will be good as new.  But, look!  I did finish one of the chairs and I’ve started the second one.

I even got two of my kids to help me, but that still didn’t get the project complete because I got distracted…

by this project.   Painting my daughter’s furniture, ripping up the carpet in her room and the hall, painting the floors and what the heck, let’s repair that wall while we’re at it.

I also bought fabric to recover my office chair and then I bought more fabric to recover all my porch cushions.  I’m having a bunch of people over tonight and none of these projects are done.

I begged my mom to drive across the state yesterday and sew all the cushions for me.  I told her they needed to be done by 3pm today.  She has 12 minutes to complete this deadline, I’m pretty sure she hasn’t left her house yet.  Mom?  Mom?  I wasn’t kidding about you sewing all these cushions.  They won’t get done unless you come and do them for me.  Please?  Please?  I’ll never ask you to do anything for me ever again, except when I need some curtains made or when the cushions that you’re about to make wear out and you’ll need to make some more to replace them or when I go out of town and need you to come stay with all the kids or when I just want you to come visit and bring me lots of stuff to use on the farm, really those are just minor things.  I’m watching out the window for you to come down the drive, because I’m your favorite daughter and I know you’ll be here any minute.  Right?  Mom?  Mom?
