Lisa said it first, I owe her one meelion kisses. I’m getting out my chap stick now. For those of you that guessed Turken, you are CORRECT! Lena said it best when she called it a Chickey, because it has more chicken traits than turkey. It is a very nice bird, broad breasted and calm in nature. We only have one, but if it turns into a good layer it will be on my list of birds to get in the future.
Now, all you chicken experts out there, tell me what that fluffy headed thing is back there. Here at Coal Creek Farm we like diversity.
A variety. A big melting pot of feathered friends.
Who knows what the blue-legged spikey-headed thing is? Anyone? Anyone?
How about this tiny thing? We call her Tiny. I know, brilliant.
I know it’s hard, but try to ignore Mr. Giant White Head in the foreground and check out the little poof in the background. Guess what we named her? Poof. I know, genius.
I’m off to consult with Grandma Martha about who she chose to win Coal Creek Farm’s First Fabulous Give Away. I know it’s not going to be easy.
