Peach Bread
Hey, you ask, I deliver. Two of you sweet readers wanted my peach bread recipe. Have I ever told you what my friends think I lack a gift in? No? Oh. Well, there’s only two things, I know, I am so gifted! Anyway, they are
1. Giving directions to my house
and
2. Sharing a recipe

I swear it’s all in my head, it just doesn’t translate out my mouth. Oh, and there’s one more thing I should let you in on. I uh, um, I, well, I don’t follow directions well or um, well, uh, oooh boy, I don’t always follow a recipe the way it’s written.

One thing I do is try to make things healthier. What used to be perfectly good and wonderful pancakes have become rubber-grain patties. Yum, who wants another?

So, here is the peach bread recipe exactly how I wrote it down, but not how I made it.

1/2 Cup buttah
1 Cup Sugah
3 Eggs
2 3/4 Cup Flour
1 1/2 tsp Bak Powdah
1/2 tsp Bak Sodah
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cinn
2 Cups peaches
2 Tab Frozen OJ
1 tsp vanillah

(I know I’m hilarious. But seriously, that’s how I wrote it down).

Now the directions.

Cream butt and sug
Add eggs 1@ time
combine dry ingr
alternate dry and peaches

grease and flour 9X5X3 pan
Bake 1 hour
@350

Just so you know, I used lemon juice instead of OJ, I used oil instead of butter, I subbed whole wheat flour for 1 cup of the white and I think that’s it.

Is it all making sense? Yes? Good, moving on.

Yogurt Sauce
Throw a handful of blueberries in a bowl. Stick in the microwave until they are a burstin’ and bubbly. Get you one of those big honkin’ tubs of plain yogurt and put a couple dollops in the boiling hot lava that is blueberries. Squeeze on a circle or two of honey. Throw in a dollop of homemade peach jam. Stir just until swirly. Spoon on warm peach bread that you may or may not have understood all the directions.

If you have questions then come on out to the house and I’ll show you how I made it.

Here are the directions to my house;
Go S on the hwy until you get to that one great big pond with the huge houses. Then turn left. Go three miles turn where you don’t see the road sign I’m at the dead end.

Mkay? We’re good to go.

Oh, the picture? That’s Clay, my kids and two of my nephews after a work out of sprints and jumps and dot drills and monkey crawls and gopher butts and good morning Americas and I don’t know what else but why can’t it just be called EXERCISE?
